So-Cal Training for Enclosed Auto Transport

Transport drivers in the auto shipping business that have previously taken Hendrickson's So-Cal training sessions will be interested in the news that the company has scheduled its next round of technical suspension training for heavy-duty transport industry of the United States of America. This round will be the eighth edition of the Hendrickson Vehicle Suspension Institute for drivers operating car carriers to take part in and according to previous drivers that took part in the training sessions the training provided is essential to the job of delivering vehicles on time and budget as we enter the second decade of the century of the environment in the United States of America.

Two sessions will be held from April 26, 2011 though to April 29, 2011 at the Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga, California. These two training sessions will be hands-on training covering the Primaax and Haulmaax suspensions as well as the new Composilite SC lift axle, according to Hendrickson. The feedback on these training programs has also been good, according to Hendrickson, and they intend on training as many technicians during the miles ahead in America in order to help keep transport vehicles in the enclosed car shipping business on the roads and moving to destination on time and budget.

Over 270 transport technicians from around North America took part in the previous seven editions of the HVSI program, according to sources, in training sessions that took part in Chicago, Canton, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. They expect even more to show up for training this time and if your technicians need training in suspensions for heavy-duty transport vehicles you should probably take part.

Enclosed Auto Transport Hours of Service

Transport firms and auto shipping drivers out on the transport roads and highways of the nation taking cars to destination on time and budget will be interested in the latest news concerning the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Hours-Of-Service proposal. A bipartisan group of American Congressmen and Senators recently called for the Obama administration to abandon current plans for the controversial Hours-Of-Service proposal. Instead, the group wants to current administration to keep the current safety rules concerning the Hours-Of-Service being implemented by car transport companies in America, since according to this group the current rules are working fine, and there's currently no need to make changes.

According to this group, since the current rules were put in place seven years ago, the transportation industry's safety performance has improved at a very high rate. In addition, during the past seven years on the transport roads and highways of the United States of America, the number of deaths and accidents involving heavy-duty transport trucks, including car carriers, has gone down to new lows, and the trucking industry is hauling more goods than ever before.

At the same time this group points out, the proposed Hours-Of-Service changes could force firms to put more trucks on the transport roads and highways of the nation, in order to deliver the same volume of cargo. This fact would mean there would be more trucks on the roads on average and would increase the final cost of transporting goods, according to the politicians making up this bipartisan group. Definitely a possibility that the current administration should probably take a look at, before implementing the current plans to change the Hours-of-Service rules and regulations of the nation, according to some transport drivers and firms looking at this news.

MHC Kenworth Colorado was named the 2011 Kenworth truck dealer of the year for North America during the recently held annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held at the PACCAR Engine Plant in Columbus, Mississippi. Great news for enclosed auto transport drivers and firms that use a Kenworth truck to make sure vehicles are delivered in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead in North America.

Vehicle Shippers in Minnesota

Transport firms and auto shipping drivers providing transport services in the beautiful American state of Minnesota will be interested in the latest news concerning the Minnesota State Patrol's use of CVSA Level III inspections to determine fatigue in transport drivers. A United States District Court judge has ruled that the Minnesota State Patrol should stop using this inspection regiment during the weeks and months ahead in Minnesota, because this violates the fourth amendment rights of drivers taking vehicles to destination on time and budget in Minnesota.

This is great news for vehicle transport drivers on the transport roads and highways of Minnesota taking vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner, and according to many is a victory for independent drivers operating in Minnesota. According to sources Minnesota's State Patrol has been using a checklist of sorts to determine is transport drivers are fatigued, including the physical appearance of the driver, or transport vehicle, and even the interior condition of the transport vehicle in question. This practice will have to stop with this latest news and this is something that will make lots of drivers smile, when they hear about this ruling by the courts.

Sources also indicate that this means Minnesota State Patrol officers will need to have reasonable suspicion of probable cause in order to conduct inspections on car carriers operating on the roads and highways of Minnesota in the future. A change that will also probably trickle down to the other states in the United States conducting fatigue inspections during the months ahead, according to many transport safety experts close to this affair.

Secretary Ray LaHood has been making moves designed to help reduce the number of distracted drivers on the roads and highways of the United States in the past few months, according to vehicle transport drivers and firms in the business of making sure vehicles arrive on time and budget. This latest announcement makes it very apparent that this gentleman is very serious about the need to take distracted drivers off of the roads of America and we can certainly expect to hear more news on this desire in the months and weeks ahead.

The people on hand were joined by family members of distracted driving victims, FocusDriven President Jennifer Smith, and representatives of Safeway and the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety, according to the transport workers on hand for this affair. During the meeting Secretary Ray LaHood unveiled a number of new public education initiatives, and discussed the important leadership role business plays in promoting transport safety in the United States of America and safe driving behaviors on the roads of America. New Sleep Apnea Therapy for Vehicle Shippers

Transport drivers in the business of auto shipping looking for a less obstructive sleep apnea therapy system than the one currently available to transport drivers out on the road and highways of the United States on a daily basis can stop looking. Somnetics has just announced that soon you'll be able to give a new system called Transcend a try, instead of the usual methods, which the company believes is a better system than the one in place across the transport industry of the United States. Somnetics has indicated that this new system is a completely new kind of therapy system that has been approved by the FDA and weighs about one pound, which is going to be a lot better than the cumbersome old method, according to the firm.

This new sleep apnea therapy system has yet to be tested by the drivers operating car carriers on the transport roads and highways of the United States on a daily basis. At this point as well, Somnetics hasn't announced when this new sleep apnea therapy system will be available for the transport drivers that want to give it a try. Hopefully, this new sleep apnea therapy system is even more effective than they expect in helping transport drivers fight sleep apnea while out on the roads and highways of America during the miles ahead.

The goods news is that soon vehicle transport drivers that were looking for a new sleep apnea therapy system in order to help them drive safer and keep the vehicles moving to destination in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner as we enter into the second decade of the century of the environment in America will be able to try Transcend.

Vehicle Shippers Need Safe Transport Roads

Transport workers and auto shipping firms will be happy to hear that Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood recently announced the launching of a new United States Department of Transportation Buy America web page. According to sources at the Department of Transportation the agency is committed to maximizing the economic benefits of the money the country will be investing in improving and enhancing the transportation infrastructure during the years ahead, and this news is just part of this plan. Ray LaHood made this announcement to vehicle transport workers on hand during the Building America's Future Policy Forum in Charleston, South Carolina. Sources also indicate that the new web page can be accessed through the Buy America web site.

This news seems to go hand-in-hand with recent news of plans to spend more money on improving and enhancing the transportation infrastructure of the United States during the months and years ahead. The idea of making sure we get as much out of the money we invest in America's transportation infrastructure is hardly new news, though, but still a great idea that can often be assumed, and therefore at times overlooked. We want to make sure that all of the transportation projects built in America are done so as cost-effectively as possible, which will leave more money for other jobs.

This news will certainly put a smile on the faces of some transport drivers operating car carriers on the transport roads and highways of the United States of America. Hopefully, we are able to find a few new ways of both improving and enhancing the transport networks of America and saving a little more money along the way to take care of other jobs.

Enclosed Auto Transport Services

Transport drivers and auto shipping firms traveling across the borders of the United States of America deal with the United States Customs and Border Protection's ACE system for sending electronic manifests for transport services crossing the border. Axon's ACE E-Manifest Interface software can now be fully integrated with the US Customs and Border Protection's ACE system, which allows transport drivers and firms to submit transport information electronically to the right people. Axon's ACE E-Manifest software also tracks the status of your submission, and if you don't receive a response within 24 hours, you can resend the request by simply pushing a button. Axon's ACE E-Manifest also provides users with lists of Customs and Border Protection codes for package types, border codes, Schedule K, and UN Dangerous Goods, and allows you to mark the codes you use for future use, which should make the job quicker for vehicle transport services traveling across the borders of the United States of America during the miles ahead.

Axon's ACE E-Manifest also allows users to print out a paper copy for transport drivers to take out on the road with them, which has been formatted according to CBP guidelines. You can use the interface to revise and resubmit a manifest, or to send an electronic message to CBP notifying the people in charge that a transport vehicle will no longer be crossing the border. Vehicle shippers can review both present and past manifests using the ACE Manifest History Report and select the information they want to view, or print out, based on certain criteria, such as reviewing the manifest for a particular transport vehicle, or the expected arrival time of the transport truck in question.

Transport firms and drivers that wish to take a look at Axon's ACE E-Manifest software should contact Axon directly, or talk to their local dealer of Axon products. This could be the new tool that helps you reduce costs and keep customer vehicles moving to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner during the miles ahead.

Firms Conducting Enclosed Auto Transport

National auto shipping firms in the business of making sure customers cars arrive on time and budget want to get to work on making sure they know how they stack up in the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010. Sources around the transport industry of North America indicate that at present there could be quite a few transport firms that don't really know where they rank under CSA 2010. They also indicate that these firms might want to find out where they stand with the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010, or there could be a few dark clouds on the horizon during the miles ahead.

At present, according to the FMCSA, only about 15,000 carriers have logged into the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010 site to take a look at their performance status. This is a small amount of the estimated half a million registered Department of Transport carriers, and according to transport experts as many as one-in-five carriers are currently at risk of an intervention by transport safety enforcement agencies tasked with making sure carriers are transporting in a safe manner. Car shipping firms, therefore, might want to make sure they know where they stand with CSA 2010, by logging into the FMCSA's website to have a look.

The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is planning on mailing out warning letters, starting next month, to transport services who exceed a given threshold in one or more of seven categories. The seven categories in question will include unsafe driving, hours-of-service, driver fitness, drugs & alcohol, vehicle maintenance, cargo security, and crash indication data, so vehicle transport drivers might want to take the time to see where they stand in these seven areas.

Transport drivers stopping by Roadside Medical & Lab in the future can now ask the medical professionals on hand about the sleep services Roadside Medical & Lab has incorporated into the services they already provide for the car shipping professionals out on the transport roads of the United States on a daily basis. Car Haulers Have a New Place to Rest in Virginia

There’s good news coming around the corner for car shipping professionals and firms that will be transporting customers vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner in the beautiful America state of Virginia in the months and years ahead in the United States of America. The latest reports have Governor Bob McDonnel announcing Thursday the beginning of a new pilot program that will see undeveloped property owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation used as truck safety rest areas for transport drivers out on the roads of Virginia. The first site is going to be located along Interstate 66 in Warren County and if everything stays on target with this pilot program the people in the Virginia Department of Transportation expect this first truck safety rest stop in Virginia to be open around November 8.

Drivers operating an auto shipping transport stopping at this truck safety rest stop after it opens will find an unused paved lot along the eastbound lanes that was purchased years ago to be used as a future truck safety rest stop, so this news is probably something the Virginia Department of Transportation thought might one day occur. They of course probably thought that this particular truck safety rest stop would have been providing services for the transport professionals traveling and doing business in Virginia, already, but at least it has finally happened.

The professionals in the business of vehicle transport and transportation professionals in general have been applauding this decision to begin this pilot program and use land just sitting idle as truck safety test stops. The real question will be how many new truck safety rest stops will they open under this new pilot program? At present, according to sources, this particular truck rest stop is going to be open for 90 days, followed by a 60-day evaluation period.

Staying in Shape for Car Haulers

Being out on the auto shipping roads and highways of the United States of America taking customers to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner is a tough job that can get physical at times. Staying in great physical shape can help keep your mind alert and working a workout routine into your daily transport routine could be the difference that makes you a safer transport professional. It doesn't take as much time as you think each day to stay in shape, especially after you get your routine in place, and the benefits of a workout routine can improve things in all parts of your personal and professional life. Especially for older car shipping drivers in the age bracket between 40 to 50 years of age, starting and sticking to a workout routine is going to extend your career, and make your wife happier when you get home.

Begin by talking to other transport drivers you know of that exercise on a daily basis and this will give you a good starting point from which to do more research. You'll need to design a workout routine, or adopt the workout routine of another person, but get started as soon as you can. Studies have shown that one of the main reason people don't begin a workout routine is because they wait to long, so on your day off head down to the gym and check things out. A few months down the road, after you've been exercising regularly, you'll be surprised how much more alert you're mentally and how much better you feel physically. You could find the vehicle transport service you provide is safer, also, and this is going to benefit other drivers out on the roads, and it could save your life.

The I-40 in North Carolina Open to Car Haulers

There's good news for auto shipping professionals that want to use the I-40 in North Carolina near the Tennessee border to conduct transport services for customers that need vehicles delivered in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner in the days and months ahead in the United States of America. The I-40 had to be closed to transport services last year after a rock slide closed down this route and made it impossible for transport drivers to use this route to move cars. The last orange construction barrel was removed from Interstate 40 near the Tennessee line in Haywood Country at 4.:45 p.m. on Friday, signalling to America's transport firms that they can once again use the I-40 in North Carolina to conduct vehicle transport services for customers in the United States of America.

Sources close to this news indicate that work crews are still out on the I-40 in North Carolina working on getting this transport route fully open. Over the next few weeks, if you're planning on using this route, there could still be occasional lane closures lasting a few hours as equipment is moved from the site, and work crews get everything finished. Car shipping services will be able to use this route, but just be aware that depending on your timing, you might find the route a little slower than usual. Still, the I-40 in North Carolina reopening to transport vehicles is great news that firms have probably been waiting to hear, and with this news they can start moving cars along this route again.

Enhancing Transport Roads for Vehicle Shippers

American car hauling firms will be happy to hear that the administration is planning on asking for more money to invest in the transportation infrastructure of the United States of America in the months ahead. Sources surrounding this story indicate that this investment is just one part of a bigger package of proposals the government is planning on making in the days and weeks ahead in order to keep the economy rolling forward and enhance the transportation infrastructure of America. They also indicate that we should hear something on this idea today at the Labor Day event being held in Milwaukee. According to sources in the auto shipping industry of America plans include the idea of putting 50 billion to work immediately, in order to get the work started improving the transportation routes around the United States, and put additional Americans on the job.

There's also an under current in this news as reports indicate that the administration is also calling for the creation of a permanent infrastructure bank to provide funds specifically for national and regional infrastructure projects. The total amount that they expect to invest in enhancing and improving the transportation infrastructure used by car transport companies of the United States of America, wasn't available. The initial 50 billion the government is calling for is a significant amount that should get the ball rolling, though, and over the next six years we can probably expect America will possibly invest a lot more of the $814 billion included in stimulus package passed by Congress last year.
