Car Haulers in Connecticut

Transport drivers and car shipping firms planning on providing transport services in the beautiful American state of Connecticut during the miles ahead will be interested in the news that transport drivers operating in Connecticut have asked for a study to be conducted on the use of corrosive de-icers on the roads and highways of the state of Connecticut. The lawmakers in Connecticut will be listening to testimony on a bill on the use of de-icers on the transport roads and highways of the state in the days ahead. The Motor Transport Association of Connecticut thinks it would be a good idea for the Department of Transportation commissioner to start a study into the corrosive effects of the mixture of liquid calcium chloride and salt that was first used on the vehicle transport roads and highways of Connecticut during the winter months of 2006 and 2007, according to sources.

Sources close to the transport drivers asking for this study indicate that several transport drivers are planning on showing up for a planned public meeting on this affair with damaged truck parts to show people that will be on hand the kind of damage this practice can do to a heavy-duty transport truck used for express auto transport on the roads and highways of the state of Connecticut.

The state of Connecticut was one of the last states to switch over from using a sand/salt mix to a salt/chemical mixture, according to sources at the Department of Transport, and the agency is pleased with the results of the change, so far, and few complaints have been received about the use of liquid calcium chloride and salt on the transport roads of the nation.

Express Auto Transport on Safe Highways

National transport firms car shipping to destination on time and budget for a living will be interested in the latest news concerning the current highway program. Sources in the transport industry of the United States of America indicate that Congress has just passed another extension of the current highway program until the end of the fiscal year, which is September 30, according to vehicle transport industry experts and White House sources. This is also the seventh short-term extension of the current highway program, according to the same sources, since the current highway program expired in September 2009.

The Senate has apparently okayed this idea and sent the documents onto President Obama, who is expected to put his signature on the documents at some point during the days ahead. The lack of commitment by the current administration to a multi-year plan for improving the transport roads and highways of the United States of America during recent times has created some uncertainty in sectors of the transport industry and car haulers, of late. This could be slowing down investment by transport firms, according to some sources, and could contribute to a slowdown in transport activities in some states during the weeks and months ahead.

Sources in the White House have also indicated recently that the administration has proposed a bold six-year reauthorization plan that envisions increasing investment in the transport infrastructure of the country and the creation of a $30 billion National Infrastructure Bank. An interesting idea that certainly shows promise, but we certainly have a few things to work out financially, before this idea could become reality. We`ll watch and see how this drama unfolds during the miles ahead and the route the administration finally decides to take in the desire for a new highway program.

Express Auto Transport Communication Devices

National car shipping drivers and firms that have been watching the unfolding drama concerning the use of hand-held phones by the transport industry drivers out on the highways and roads of the nation will be interested in the latest news concerning this subject. The American Trucking Association, the largest trucking group in the United States of America recently stated that they favor a proposed ban on the use of hand-held phones and related devices by vehicle transport drivers, but would like to see transport drivers use hands-free technology during the miles ahead to help deliver cars to destination on time and budget. Interesting news that will certainly get the attention of the transport drivers taking vehicles to destination in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner as we enter the second decade of the environment in America and the world.

The American Trucking Association also stated that they have a progressive safety agenda that calls for the safe use of technology and policies that call for laws and regulations that ban all motorists from using hand-held mobile phones while driving on the transport roads and highways of the nation. The association also reiterated its support for a ban on talking and texting while driving a vehicle, but feels that drivers should be prevented from pushing a limited number of buttons in order to initiate hands-free communication. Great news for car haulers that use hands-free communication devices while transporting cars to destination on time and budget, and news that could lead to transport drivers using more hands-free technology during the years ahead, according to many transport industry experts.

Vehicle Shippers Looking Forward

National car shipping drivers and firms will be happy to hear the news that Daimler Trucks North America recently announced they were starting plans to add about 628 new jobs in their Mt. Holly and Gastonia North Carolina facilities during the miles ahead. At the same time as Daimler Trucks North America announced the new jobs in North Carolina, the company announced plans to hire about 1,300 new workers in total during the first half of 2011, to work in their truck and parts manufacturing factories throughout North America during the years ahead.

This news might not surprise many transport drivers in the express auto transport business, or many transport firms in general, but this news will definitely put quite a few more Americans back to work, once it becomes reality. It will be a few months before this news is expected to become reality, but at least we have something to look forward to, and we know Daimler Trucks North America is planning on adding more jobs during the miles ahead.

Ship Cars Using Cleaner Transports

Transport companies and car transport drivers will be interested in the latest news concerning the future incentives and policies that will be used to help accelerate American leadership of the global advanced transport truck market during the miles ahead. Sources in the transport industry of the United States of America indicate that a task force of 40 truck industry leaders has recently called for new performance-based incentives and policies designed to help accelerate American leadership of the global transport truck market. According to sources this idea is part of a report released by CalStart's Speeding High-Efficiency Truck Adoption program and includes measures like a voucher purchase program for high efficiency heavy-duty trucks with multiple benefits for firms in the business of controlling car shipping prices that implement new advanced truck technologies.

Concentrating on truck technologies with a number of different benefits for car transport companies of the United States of America is a good idea and it might even save a little time and money down the road. This task force of 40 transport industry leaders seems to have a lot of good ideas that will certainly get the attention of the people tasked with implementing transport policies in the United States of America during the years ahead. The transition of the heavy-duty transport vehicles on the transport roads and highways of the United States to cleaner technologies appears to be one of the main concerns of this task force. The momentum this task force is building is going to help reduce the carbon wheel-print of the transport industry of America, according to many watching this affair, and could be a force for change in the months ahead. Hopefully, this momentum continues to build and a few miles down the road this task force is being noted for making the roads and highways of America both safer and more efficient.

Enclosed Auto Transport Firms in California

National car shipping firms transporting vehicles to destination on time and budget in the beautiful state of California will be happy to hear that according to the California Air Resources Board the plan to cut carbon emissions in California has currently resulted in carbon emission reductions in about 5,300 diesel trucks operating on the roads of California. There were no firm numbers on how many of these transport trucks are in the business of taking vehicles to destination for customers? Still, this news is something that will make us all breathe a little easier during the weeks and months ahead in the California and the United States of America.

The reductions were made as part of California's Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program, according to car transport service industry sources, a program supported by $1 billion in voter-approved Proposition 1B bonds. The California Air Resources Board indicates this idea prevented about 3 million pounds of diesel soot and 60 million pounds of smog-forming pollutants from entering the environment of the United States of America. News that is certainly going to put a smile on the faces of Americans and car haulers watching the changes being made to the transport industry of America during the past few years.

We just need to keep going down the same road we started on to reducing the carbon wheel-print of the transport vehicles on the roads and highways and in a few years time we could be talking about a desire clearly in the rear view mirror.

This news won't surprise firms in the business of controlling car shipping prices who have been taking part in Wreaths Across America for years, or witnessed previous ceremonies. The support of the trucking industry for this fantastic event and cause is something we have all come to expect on a yearly basis and the truckers of America never disappoint.

Firms Conducting Enclosed Auto Transport

National auto shipping firms in the business of making sure customers cars arrive on time and budget want to get to work on making sure they know how they stack up in the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010. Sources around the transport industry of North America indicate that at present there could be quite a few transport firms that don't really know where they rank under CSA 2010. They also indicate that these firms might want to find out where they stand with the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010, or there could be a few dark clouds on the horizon during the miles ahead.

At present, according to the FMCSA, only about 15,000 carriers have logged into the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010 site to take a look at their performance status. This is a small amount of the estimated half a million registered Department of Transport carriers, and according to transport experts as many as one-in-five carriers are currently at risk of an intervention by transport safety enforcement agencies tasked with making sure carriers are transporting in a safe manner. Car shipping firms, therefore, might want to make sure they know where they stand with CSA 2010, by logging into the FMCSA's website to have a look.

The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is planning on mailing out warning letters, starting next month, to transport services who exceed a given threshold in one or more of seven categories. The seven categories in question will include unsafe driving, hours-of-service, driver fitness, drugs & alcohol, vehicle maintenance, cargo security, and crash indication data, so vehicle transport drivers might want to take the time to see where they stand in these seven areas.

Vehicle Transport Gets a Little Healthier

Professional drivers in the auto shipping business can spend a lot of hours out on the transport roads and highways of the United States making sure customers vehicles make it to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner. Transport drivers stopping by Roadside Medical & Lab in the future can now ask the medical professionals on hand about the sleep services Roadside Medical & Lab has incorporated into the services they already provide for the car shipping professionals out on the transport roads of the United States on a daily basis. Transport safety experts indicate that at the present time Roadside Medical LLC is based in Sarasota, Florida and has a nation-wide network of health clinics located in Pilot Travel Centers. Sleep HealthCenters, on the other hand, currently operates 26 sleep medical centers and clinics in four American states, and has working partnerships at present with academic medical institutions around the United States of America.

Auto Transport Hiring More Workers

Firms in the business of enclosed car shipping are still a little hesitant to start increasing hiring, according to sources around the transport industry of the United States of America, despite signs of the economy and business of transporting cars to destination picking up momentum in the past few miles. Owner operators and employers also reported the posting of fewer job vacancies in September, than in previous months, which represents the second month of fewer jobs being available for transport drivers. This doesn’t necessarily indicate a trend and firms could be preparing to begin hiring new transport workers in the days and months ahead, according to other transport experts looking at the numbers. Hopefully, both the economy and the car hauling business in the United States of America continue to build momentum, and in a few months time we are talking about a large number of Americans being added to the rosters of transport fleets around America.

There have certainly been signs of both the economy and business of shipping customer vehicles to business in a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manner improving during the past few months, according to many experts and transportation professionals. We need this trend to continue to build momentum as we enter the second decade of the environment in the United States of America and there does appear to be a reason for believing things are going to continue to improve in the business of vehicle shipping. The real question at this point could be that the business of transporting vehicles appears to be directly related to the state of the economy, and the volume of cars being shipped in America will probably depend on the general state of the American economy.

Car Haulers Have a New Place to Rest in Virginia

There’s good news coming around the corner for car shipping professionals and firms that will be transporting customers vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner in the beautiful America state of Virginia in the months and years ahead in the United States of America. The latest reports have Governor Bob McDonnel announcing Thursday the beginning of a new pilot program that will see undeveloped property owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation used as truck safety rest areas for transport drivers out on the roads of Virginia. The first site is going to be located along Interstate 66 in Warren County and if everything stays on target with this pilot program the people in the Virginia Department of Transportation expect this first truck safety rest stop in Virginia to be open around November 8.

Drivers operating an auto shipping transport stopping at this truck safety rest stop after it opens will find an unused paved lot along the eastbound lanes that was purchased years ago to be used as a future truck safety rest stop, so this news is probably something the Virginia Department of Transportation thought might one day occur. They of course probably thought that this particular truck safety rest stop would have been providing services for the transport professionals traveling and doing business in Virginia, already, but at least it has finally happened.

The professionals in the business of vehicle transport and transportation professionals in general have been applauding this decision to begin this pilot program and use land just sitting idle as truck safety test stops. The real question will be how many new truck safety rest stops will they open under this new pilot program? At present, according to sources, this particular truck rest stop is going to be open for 90 days, followed by a 60-day evaluation period.

Vehicle Shippers Using Navistar Trucks

Transport firms in the United States trying to control car shipping prices will be interested in the news that Navistar recently announced they would be spending about $90 million to renovate the existing product development facility the company has in Melrose Park, Illinois. Navistar apparently plans to turn this old facility into a state-of-the-art testing center for the trucks and diesel engines the company will use in the heavy-duty trucks it manufactures in the years ahead. The old facility is located on an 80-acre site and according to Navistar will compliment the work that will be done in the company's integrated product development center, which will be located at the former Alcatel-Lucent East campus in Lisle.

This is great news for car transport companies implementing Navistar manufactured trucks in their fleet operations and for the state of Illinois, in general. Navistar and the UAW also recently finished putting pen-to-paper on a new four-year labor agreement, as well, and many transport professionals in the United States of America figure that this is going to mean more jobs for Illinois, and more money and vehicles flowing through the state in the years ahead. This news probably isn't a surprise to many car transport service providers doing business in Illinois and around the United States, especially since Navistar has always shown a commitment to the state of Illinois and the people of America, and manufacturing the best trucks possible.

Staying in Shape for Car Haulers

Being out on the auto shipping roads and highways of the United States of America taking customers to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner is a tough job that can get physical at times. Staying in great physical shape can help keep your mind alert and working a workout routine into your daily transport routine could be the difference that makes you a safer transport professional. It doesn't take as much time as you think each day to stay in shape, especially after you get your routine in place, and the benefits of a workout routine can improve things in all parts of your personal and professional life. Especially for older car shipping drivers in the age bracket between 40 to 50 years of age, starting and sticking to a workout routine is going to extend your career, and make your wife happier when you get home.

Begin by talking to other transport drivers you know of that exercise on a daily basis and this will give you a good starting point from which to do more research. You'll need to design a workout routine, or adopt the workout routine of another person, but get started as soon as you can. Studies have shown that one of the main reason people don't begin a workout routine is because they wait to long, so on your day off head down to the gym and check things out. A few months down the road, after you've been exercising regularly, you'll be surprised how much more alert you're mentally and how much better you feel physically. You could find the vehicle transport service you provide is safer, also, and this is going to benefit other drivers out on the roads, and it could save your life.

The I-40 in North Carolina Open to Car Haulers

There's good news for auto shipping professionals that want to use the I-40 in North Carolina near the Tennessee border to conduct transport services for customers that need vehicles delivered in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner in the days and months ahead in the United States of America. The I-40 had to be closed to transport services last year after a rock slide closed down this route and made it impossible for transport drivers to use this route to move cars. The last orange construction barrel was removed from Interstate 40 near the Tennessee line in Haywood Country at 4.:45 p.m. on Friday, signalling to America's transport firms that they can once again use the I-40 in North Carolina to conduct vehicle transport services for customers in the United States of America.

Sources close to this news indicate that work crews are still out on the I-40 in North Carolina working on getting this transport route fully open. Over the next few weeks, if you're planning on using this route, there could still be occasional lane closures lasting a few hours as equipment is moved from the site, and work crews get everything finished. Car shipping services will be able to use this route, but just be aware that depending on your timing, you might find the route a little slower than usual. Still, the I-40 in North Carolina reopening to transport vehicles is great news that firms have probably been waiting to hear, and with this news they can start moving cars along this route again.
