Car Hauling Using Medium Duty Transports

National auto transport firms looking at the current generation of medium and heavy-duty truck dealers they deal with on a yearly basis and thinking the current generation will soon be retiring, or passing on the torch to a younger generation will be interested in the latest news concerning the development of a younger generation of dealers during the miles ahead in the United States of America. The American Truck Dealers Association has announced the start of a new program during the miles ahead aimed at developing the next generation of medium and heavy-duty truck dealers you'll be dealing with, called Next Generation ATD.

This new program is set to launch during the ATD Convention and Expo being held in Phoenix, Arizona from April 15-18, according to sources in the vehicle shipping industry of the United States of America, and will help develop a new generation of medium and heavy-duty truck dealers that will be needed during the years ahead. It will also help truck dealerships with retiring baby boomers find replacements to run their dealerships during the decades ahead in the United States of America and transport firms that ship cars for a living continue to purchase the transport vehicles they'll need in the future to deliver cars on time and budget, according to many transport experts looking at this news.

The American Trucking Association welcomes all ATD members currently transitioning ownership of a dealership to their children, or recent NADA-ATD Academy graduates in truck dealership positions to join this new program. Car Hauling Drivers Should be Proud

Transport drivers and auto transport firms that have been paying attention to the growing number of transport drivers in the United States of America during the recent past being heralded as a North America Highway Hero for helping other people they find in trouble out on the transport roads and highways of the United States of America will be interested in the latest news concerning America's growing number of North American Highway Heroes. Goodyear is currently going through the list of transport drivers on the list of candidates for the 2011 North America Highway Hero Award and has apparently narrowed the current list down to four candidates for the award.

Over the next few weeks, journalists from around the United States will vote on which of the four candidates will finally be awarded the 2011 North America Highway Hero Award for stopping along the highway during their travels to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Vehicle shipping drivers on hand for the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky on March 31 will get a chance during the event to find out which of these four truckers will be heralded as an American hero and finally awarded the North America Highway Hero Award for their bravery and empathy.

All four of these truckers and firms that ship cars for a living in the United States should be proud to be called a member of a fraternity that cares about the average American and all people in the world. The average trucker will stop along the road to help out anybody they see in possible trouble and the growing legion of truckers that have been recognized for being a North American Highway Hero during the past few miles makes this very apparent.

Express Auto Transport During Night Time

Transport firms and auto transport drivers out on the roads and highways of the United States taking vehicles to destination on time and budget will be interested in the latest news concerning the 34-hour restart proposal. The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has recently commented that while this idea will likely work for transport drivers out on the roads during the day light hours, it might not be as good for drivers that work during the night time. The agency believes that we might need to include two periods of rest for vehicle shipping drivers on the roads between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., in order to make sure drivers operate during the night time hours as safely as they would during the day.

The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration apparently used the data provided by a study recently conducted in the United States of America to justify this belief. The study was conducted by the Sleep and Performance Research Center at Washington State University and according to the people looking at this study seems to indicate that the effectiveness of the 34-hour restart could depend on the timing of a driver's work schedule.

This idea isn't very popular with some elements of the transport industry of America, though, and the proposal could find a little resistance to this becoming law during the miles ahead, according to many car hauling drivers out on the roads taking vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner. The next few weeks and months in America will be interesting to watch and we should get a better idea of the direction of the agency and the proposed 34-hour restart, during this time, according to many watching this drama unfold. This affair is also going to determine the working conditions for many transport drivers during the miles ahead and you can be sure that the drivers will be watching to see what happens.

Express Auto Transport for Nissan?

National auto transport firms making sure customers vehicles arrive on time and budget will be happy to hear that Nissan has officially entered the North American commercial van market. Nissan and transport officials were on hand during a launching ceremony for this news at Nissan's One Job ceremony held at the firms Canton, Mississippi factory. This is great news for the transport industry of the United States of America that comes a few months after Nissan originally spent about $118 million to upgrade the facilities at this factory to allow for the production of the Nissan NV commercial van.

According to sources in the vehicle shipping industry of America the upgrades at the Canton, Mississippi facility included a 14, 499 square foot body assembly shop and modifications to an existing 79,200 square foot body assembly shop on site. In addition, they made modifications to the paint shop on site and added about 49,000 square feet of space in the paint shop at the same time. They also had to add a new assembly line in the existing trim and chassis shop on site in the facility, according to people on hand for the ceremony.

This news means that soon car hauling firms in the United States of America will be taking the Nissan NV commercial vans manufactured at this facility to dealerships across America. This news could also mean that Nissan will be manufacturing more vehicles in America during the years ahead and putting more Americans to work.

Express Auto Transport Texting Ban

National transport drivers and firms that regularly provide auto transport services for customers in South Dakota watching the debate in the South Dakota legislature over the proposed ban on texting while driving will be interested in the latest news concerning this battle. According to sources in South Dakota that have been watching the battle in the legislature, things could start to get a little more difficult for the people that want to ban texting while driving on the roads of South Dakota. A similar idea failed to make it through the South Dakota house of legislature last year, by a very narrow margin, according to sources, and a recent survey conducted by firms tasked with conducting the survey indicate that the split in vote over this idea could be pretty close in the house session that's expected to open on Thursday in South Dakota.

Sources in the vehicle shipping industry close to this news indicate that many legislators in South Dakota are concerned about the growth on texting while driving on the roads and highways of South Dakota and the United States. They're also concerned that it could be hard to implement and enforce the plans to ban texting while driving in South Dakota, and a few of them are concerned that the idea might not even make the transport roads and highways in the state safer. There are even a few that think the proposed ban on texting while driving shouldn't include any prohibition on talking on a cell phone while driving.

This news probably doesn't surprise car hauling drivers and firms that have been taking vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner in South Dakota during the last few years. Especially, if they have been watching this drama unfold and were aware of the previous failure of a similar idea to make it through the South Dakota legislature.

Car Haulers Taking More Nissan's to Destination

National car shipping firms and drivers will be taking 2012 Nissan vans to dealers lots around the United States of America sometime during 2011, according to sources at Nissan. Nissan is preparing to launch its first entry into the United States commercial vehicle market and these vans will be called 2012 models, according to Nissan, once they arrive on dealer lots in 2011. Sources at Nissan have also indicated that the commercial vans in question will be built at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi plant using components made in North America, which will keep Americans working and possibly provide more Americans with work during the months and years ahead.

This is good news for car transport service providers in the United States of America that will be tasked with making sure the commercial vans arrive at dealer lots on time and budget. This news also gives the firms in question something to look forward to and hopefully this is just the start of the news concerning new vehicles being taken to dealerships across the United States in 2011 and beyond. Transport firms and drivers conducing enclosed auto transport out on the roads and highways of the United States will certainly smile when they hear this news.

There are still quite a few months between now and the time Nissan expects to see the commercial vans in question start arriving at dealership across the United States. There could be additions to this news and even changes, before the time arrives for the vans in question to be delivered, and we'll keep you up to date as any news arrives.

Women Transporting for Car Transport Companies

America will be honoring the women of the car transport industry and all women involved in the trucking business during the 2010 uDrove Humanitarian Bowl on December 18, 2010. People watching the game on ESPN will get a chance to see a 30-second commercial promoting the trucking industry made by the Women in Trucking Association, with the support of companies in the United States of America. The commercial only contains women of trucking and will feature a white Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by truck driver Allyson, Hay, and photos of women truckers standing by their trucks with the words, professional, experienced, dedicated and pioneers. A stylish way to introduce Americans at the game and around the country to a few of the women of trucking out on the roads and highways on a daily basis.

Women of trucking that ship cars for a living and all transport industry workers that want to watch the game to see the commercial should tune into the game on December 18 at 3:30 pm MST. You'll have to watch a portion of the game to see the commercial, but the wait should be worth it, if you want to honor the women of trucking and take a look at some great trucks and the women that drive them to destination on a daily basis. Still, this idea is a great way to help more Americans connect with the express auto transport industry and the transport industry of America as a whole during the miles ahead. Vehicle Shippers Looking Foward to CSA 2010

Transport drivers and car transport companies preparing for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 to begin replacing the Safestat module will have to wait a little longer. The latest reports indicate that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has decided it needs to do a little more tinkering with CSA 2010, before they begin replacing the Safestat module. The most recent developments include the FMCSA deciding to keep two components of BASIC scores from public eyes, until they feel releasing this information is going to be of interest to Americans. The two components that are going to be private until further notice are the Cargo-Related BASIC and the Crash Indicator, according to sources at the FMCSA.

Sources around the transport industry of the United States indicate that some car transport professionals might have thought that some of the language that was attached to some of the ratings needed to be changed, that some of the terms used might be misinterpreted by some and possibly used against them in litigation. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration apparently agrees, since they have decided to make changes in the system, which is probably going to make quite a few transport drivers out on the roads and highways of the United States conducting express auto transport happier. The American Trucking Association definitely agrees and has indicated they were happy the FMCSA is continuing to work to make CSA 2010 successful by making these changes to these two components at this time.

Enclosed Auto Transport Gets a New Tool

Keeping track of auto transport data by using data mining software products designed to aggregate, organize and deliver complex fleet safety information on an easy-to-read scorecard format is one tool national transport companies use to analysis the safety performance of drivers. Vigillo now offers 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecards for shippers, brokers, and underwriters looking for a useful way to rate the safety performance of transport drivers under the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010. This provides vehicle shipping firms trying to get customers vehicles to destination in a reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner with a tool they can use to make decisions about motor carriers that meet their capacity needs and conform to their safety threshhold.

Transport companies in the business of making sure customers vehicles arrive at their destination in a timely manner often work with hundreds and sometimes thousands of carriers in their business operations. Vigillo indicates that their 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecards allow users to set their own custom thresholds for transport drivers and determine which carriers fall within the boundaries they have set for their car hauling business. They also indicate that their 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecards allow companies to create a list of carriers to benchmark and assign a weight to each of the categories the United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will be looking at in the miles ahead in the United States of America. In addition, their 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecards allow users to rank each carrier they use on the customer's list, which provides a high level view of a carrier's safety performance.

Vehicle Shippers Need Help Finding Rest Stops

There could be a need for an electronic system to help car transport drivers and all transport drivers find the available spots open in the truck rest areas in Virginia, according to many transport professionals taking customers cars to destination in a reliable, effiicient and cost-effective manner in the United States of America. According to the professionals tasked with keeping track of the truck rest areas along the six-state, 855-mile transport route along Interstate 81, there are currently 5,260 designated truck parking spaces along this route for car carriers to use. Reports from the transport industry indicate that some drivers are still having trouble finding the truck rest stop along the Interstate 81 they need and some are still finding it necessary to park overnight on ramps and road shoulders along this essential transport route.

This news has recently resulted in a group studying transport along Interstate 81 to call for a new online electronic system to help direct trucks operating on the Interstate 81 to the available truck rest stops. This idea was announced recently in Hagerstown, Virginia and it appears to be a sound idea that could certainly be implemented across the greater United States of America in the future, if this idea turns out to be useful for the job of express auto transport along Interstate 81. At present, the group is seeking funds to develop a system that could use wireless technology to let truck drivers know where parking is available for their truck and even what kind of services are available at the truck rest stop in question.

Car Carriers Drivers Have a New Road Tool

National transport drivers in the business of enclosed auto transport will have a new tool to help them find the truck stops on the transport route they’re traveling on, or will be traveling on in the future, sometime in December. Road Life Publication’s Pocket Truckstop Guide is expected to arrive at truck stops across North America in December, just in time for you to grab a copy for another driving buddy you know could use a guide to the truck rests stops across the continent. This is also a great opportunity for you to get your own pocket truck stop guide and provide yourself with another car transport road tool that can help you stay comfortable and drive safer out on the roads and highways of the United States of America as we enter the second decade of the environment.

This is certainly good news for busy transport drivers out on the roads and highways of the United States, which according to Road Life Publication and transport experts have actually been requesting that the next Pocket Truck Stop Guide contain more information for transport drivers on the truck rest stops in the United States. Road Life Publication has been in the business of helping the transport for years and first printed the Pocket Truck Stop Guide back in 1998. An exit-based printed directory that lists truck stops and rest areas in the United States of America sequentially by state, highway and exit, so transport drivers conducting express auto transport can identify stops before they arrive in the area.

Enclosed Car Shipping Using a MaxxForce 13 Engine?

The news is in and auto transport firms will be happy to hear that Navistar International is almost ready to submit a MaxxForce 13 engine to the United States Environmental Protection Agency that will meet the emissions standards required for this engine to be certified by the agency. Once this happens the MaxxForce 13 engine will be ready to be used by transport firms in the United States of America during the miles ahead to help them reduce the carbon wheel-print of the transport services they'll provide customers during the years down the road, according to some vehicle shipping professionals watching this scene unfold. Navistar International will also apparently continue to sell engines that don't quite meet the United States Environmental Protection Agency's emissions standards for transport vehicles operating in America, until the MaxxForce 13 engine is ready.

This news means that Navistar International will have a MaxxForce 13 engine that meets current environmental standards for the transport trucks operating in America, before many in the transport industry and car hauling business thought the engine would be ready, according to some people that have been watching Navistar International's progress in building a MaxxForce 13 engine that can do the job required. Sources indicate that Navistar International took some people on a tour of the firms Huntsville Engine Plant in Huntsville, Alabama, this week. At this time Navistar International indicated that they had received orders for about 10,000 MaxxForce 13 engines, to date, and are currently producing about 100 MaxxForce 13 engines a day at this particular plant, according to the people on hand. Great news for the Americans working at this engine plant and Navistar International, and a transport industry that needs a MaxxForce engine capable of meeting the EPA's emissions standards.

Safer & Faster Enclosed Auto Transport

Making sure you torque the nuts attaching the truck wheels on your car transport is an essential task that can save you money due to damaged equipment for drivers and transport firms in the United States of America as we enter the second decade of the century of the environment. The wheel nuts on your transport vehicle need to be torqued to specific values, and all of the parts must be in good working condition, otherwise this could lead to compromised torque values and possible damage to your transport vehicle, according to many professionals operating car carriers on the roads and highways of America. Transport professionals also indicate that you need to make sure the nuts on your truck tires are torqued the proper amount, otherwise you could exceed the preload value of the nuts on your transport vehicles tires, which could cause the nut to loosen as you operate the vehicle.

Over-torquing the nuts on your transport vehicles tires can stretch the stud beyond the forces they were designed and engineered to withstand and can lead to fractures or a complete failure of the nut, according to many drivers and transport fleet operators in the United States of America. The torque readings you get on the nuts on your truck tires can even be lower than expected due to contamination or damaged threads, which means you need to make sure the contact surfaces of the hub face and truck wheels are clean and free of contamination. This is going to be important for drivers conducting express auto transport, since any unexpected delays are going to possibly be costly, so before you head out on the road you might want to give your truck tires one more look.

Transport Firms That Ship Cars on Michelin Tires

National auto transport firms and professionals that implement Michelin Americas Truck Tires in their fleet operations will be happy to hear that Michelin was recently honored by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) with the 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award as the truck tire manufacturing industry winner. The 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award is awarded to those that have been active in creating a positive attitude in the United States and the world toward transport professionals. Michelin was presented with the 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award during the annual American Trucking Association Management Conference and Exhibition, last week in Phoenix, Arizona.

Michelin officials on hand made a nice speech thanking the American Trucking Association for presenting them with the 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award. Michelin has been involved in the work of promoting the vehicle shipping industry through industry partnerships in programs like the ATA's Share the Road program, by showing leadership in their work with the Tire Retread and Information Bureau, and products like the XZA3 Antisplash steer tire and X One wide single drive and trailer tires. All great work that has certainly improved the overall image of the transport industry of the United States of America and the world, and certainly deserving of the 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award.

The 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” trucking image award is given in honor of the late Mike Russell, a car hauling industry supporter and media official who helped develop the "Good stuff. Trucks Bring It." campaign as vice president of Public Affairs for the American Trucking Association.
