Purchasing Carbon-Reducing Car Carriers

There's good news on the horizon for car transport service providers that ship vehicles to destination in the United States of America that have been hoping for a little break in their taxes to help them in their planned purchase of a new transport implementing the latest carbon reducing technology. This week a coalition of transport professionals will be meeting at the White House to talk about their push for tax breaks for transport drivers that want to purchase new trucks with the latest technology to help them reduce the carbon wheel-print of their transport services.

Sources close to this news indicate that things got rolling when the American Truck Dealers, the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association, the Engine Manufacturers Association, National Truck Equipment Association and other parties decided to send a letter to the administration calling for a short-term investment credit of 10 percent on the purchase of new Class 8 trucks equipped with EPA 2010-certified engines. This has apparently resulted in the Obama administration sending an invitation to the group to meet this week to discuss their proposals. We'll have to wait and see what news comes out of this meeting, before we can comment, but this news is definitely a reason for car haulers to smile a little.

Hopefully this meeting between the administration and this coalition comes up with solutions that make it easier for vehicle transport professionals to purchase new transport vehicles utilizing the latest carbon reducing and fuel saving technologies. This would definitely help take the transport industry of America further down the road to reducing its carbon wheel-print and put an even bigger smile on the faces of transport drivers across America.

New Rest Areas for Vehicle Shippers in Iowa

American transport professionals conducting express auto transport in Iowa will be interested in the announcement by the Iowa Department of Transportation that work on the reconstruction of two rest areas along Interstate 35 in Polk County will begin in the future. These rest areas are going to replace existing rest areas north of the First Street interchange, according to sources at the agency, and will be located at milepost 99, which is about halfway between the Elkhart and Iowa 210 interchanges. These particular rest areas had to be closed and replaced due to the construction of an interchange at I-35 and 36th Street, near Ankeny.

Professionals conduct enclosed auto transport for customers that need to travel through Iowa in the days and months ahead in the century of the environment will certainly want to make note of this news. The Iowa Department of Transportation doesn't expect to begin work on the new rest areas until sometime in 2012, so until then the existing ones will have to do, but at least we can look forward to some new facilities for weary road travelers as we travel further down the transport roads of the United States of America. They'll also have to go through the process of obtaining the necessary environmental and archaeological clearances required, before work can begin on the new rest areas they have in the plans, and according to sources they still need to obtain the right of way they need to allow the work to go forward to completion. One thing is for sure the job of enclosed car shipping is going to probably be a more comfortable task to accomplish in Iowa in the future, once they get the new rest areas they have planned finished, and in operation.

Enclosed Auto Transport & American Rest Stops

American car haulers providing transport services for customers that regularly use the rest areas along the transport highways and roads of the United States of America will be happy to hear that state officials around America are seeking to amend a 1956 federal law that bans the commercialization of public rest areas. The individuals that would like to see this federal law amended believe that this law doesn't provide states with the flexibility they need to allow them to properly fund the rest areas around the United States. This could be the state of affairs according to many professionals around America as a recently conducted survey by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials reported that at least five states in the United States are facing numerous financial challenges keeping rest areas open.

This news will certainly make American firms providing excellent auto shipping rates to customers that need to have vehicles transported to destination in the United States of America and around the world smile a little when they read it. It might be time to let the private business sector of the United States see what they can do about keeping the costs of maintaining American rest stops under control and at a level that will allow the rest stops of America to reopen and stay open to business in the days and months ahead in the century of the environment.

It appears that there's plenty of desire to see America take a look at this possibility in the future and hopefully this idea turns out to be the solution that keeps rest stops in the United States open for business. This would improve things for all American vehicle shippers and make the business of taking cars to destination in the United States a much more comfortable task.

Reducing the Cost of Car Hauling

Car transport companies that have spending time and money repairing aged or damage fuel tanks should take a look at the possible money-saving benefits of Paccar Parts TRP fuel tanks. Available for various makes of transport vehicles, including Freightliner, International, Mack, Sterling, Volvo, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Western Star, TRP fuel tanks are also available in a host of fuel sizes, including 50 to 150 gallon applications, and a variety of diameters, from 23 to 26 inches. Paccar Parts indicates that TRP fuel tanks are made by an ISO-certified manufacturer of fuel tanks that uses the same standard of thickness and grade of aluminum required in OEM manufacturing and have been treated with an acid etch they claim will provide a consistent and uniform finish on TRP fuel tanks implemented by American transport firms.

Paccar Parts has also indicated that TRP fuel tanks have gone through drop tests to verify they can withstand the forces involved using the same rigorous standards required that OEM fuel tanks are put through. Available with filler necks in the right, left and center position, you can find TRP fuel tanks for your car carriers at authorized Kenworth and Peterbilt parts and service distribution centers around the United States of America, and they even include a 24-month warranty that should make you smile.

The truth of the claims by Paccar Parts still needs to be verified, but anything to help firms reduce the car shipping prices of transport services is going to be something companies will certainly want to at least take a look at. Once firms have had a chance to take a look at the claims of Paccar Parts, we'll have a better idea if TRP fuel tanks can actually help American firms reduce the costs associated with repairing aged or damage fuel tanks.
