Vehicle Shippers Looking Forward

National car shipping drivers and firms will be happy to hear the news that Daimler Trucks North America recently announced they were starting plans to add about 628 new jobs in their Mt. Holly and Gastonia North Carolina facilities during the miles ahead. At the same time as Daimler Trucks North America announced the new jobs in North Carolina, the company announced plans to hire about 1,300 new workers in total during the first half of 2011, to work in their truck and parts manufacturing factories throughout North America during the years ahead.

Daimler Trucks North America's Mt. Holly Truck Manufacturing Plant is located in Mt. Holly, North Carolina, according to Daimler Trucks North America and car haulers in America, and will in the future add 447 new manufacturing jobs to the roster, along with 27 plant-based administrative positions. DTNA's Gastonia Parts Manufacturing Plant is located in Gastonia, North Carolina, and will add 149 new workers to the manufacturing lines during the months ahead, along with five administrative positions, according to sources at DTNA.

This news might not surprise many transport drivers in the express auto transport business, or many transport firms in general, but this news will definitely put quite a few more Americans back to work, once it becomes reality. It will be a few months before this news is expected to become reality, but at least we have something to look forward to, and we know Daimler Trucks North America is planning on adding more jobs during the miles ahead.
