Professionals in the business of car hauling will be happy to hear that Volvo Trucks announced recently that it had delivered a total of 1,210 new trucks to customers in North America in August, 2010. This is an increase of 151 percent from the same period in 2009, according to Volvo Trucks, which represents an amazing increase in the number of new Volvo Trucks being bought in the United States of America during August. Worldwide Volvo Trucks indicated that total truck deliveries in August totalled 11,482, a 62 percent increase over the volume of new trucks sold in August 2009. For the year, Volvo Trucks indicated that they had sold a total of 105,412 new trucks, up about 35 percent compared to the same eight month period in 2008.
Sources around the car shipping industry indicate that this could reflect an increase in the demand for Class 8 transports to provide transport services in America. In fact, in order to handle the expected increase in demand for new Volvo Trucks, Volvo Trucks plans on increasing production at its Macungie plant in America during October, according to the latest sources.
The news that more Volvo Trucks were ordered and delivered during August, 2010, is great news for the transport industry of North America. Hopefully, this trend continues as professional vehicle shippers and the transport industry of America in general travels further down the road in the century of the environment.
