Transport officials and auto shipping drivers on hand for the recently held event marking the one-year anniversary of FocusDrive, a national non-profit agency dedicated to advocating for victims of distracted driving, were listening to United States Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood's speech on his commitment to putting an end to distracted driving on the transport roads and highways of the United States during the miles ahead. Secretary Ray LaHood has been making moves designed to help reduce the number of distracted drivers on the roads and highways of the United States in the past few months, according to vehicle transport drivers and firms in the business of making sure vehicles arrive on time and budget. This latest announcement makes it very apparent that this gentleman is very serious about the need to take distracted drivers off of the roads of America and we can certainly expect to hear more news on this desire in the months and weeks ahead.
The people on hand were joined by family members of distracted driving victims, FocusDriven President Jennifer Smith, and representatives of Safeway and the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety, according to the transport workers on hand for this affair. During the meeting Secretary Ray LaHood unveiled a number of new public education initiatives, and discussed the important leadership role business plays in promoting transport safety in the United States of America and safe driving behaviors on the roads of America. Great news for vehicle shippers of the United States concerned about the need to take distracted drivers off of the transport roads and highways of America.

Many drivers out on the road are not aware of their surroundings and while I have been in the auto shipping industry for some time now, I have learned a thing or two about it.
